University Emergency Medical Services is a non-profit practice plan that provides medical staff for the emergency departments at Buffalo General Hospital and the Erie County Medical Center. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality emergency care available in an environment committed to patient satisfaction. We are also dedicated to our mission of teaching and research in emergency medicine. Nearly 85,000 Western New Yorkers received their care in our emergency departments last year.

07.28.2008 Brian Kristoff has been hired as the new Telemedicine Coordinator. Mr. Kristoff will be handling all day-to-day aspects of the UEMS telemedicine program. 07.15.2008 Sam Cloud, DO has been named as the Assistant Director for the emergency medicine residency program. 05.24.2008 UEMS attending physicians and emergency medicine residents traveled to the annual Society for Academic Emergency Medicine conference and presented several posters showcasing their research efforts. 1.21.2008 "Advanced Airway Management" DVD series has been released. This two-disk set covers advanced airway management including, Oral intubation and RSI, and also includes a disk on rescue airways such as the LMA and King LTS-D airways. ...view more	Camp 911 Camp 911 is a safety clinic for the children of Erie County. We are in our 9th year of providing safety techniques to children across Erie County. Each year over 240 children attend our free camp. ...view more	Office of Prehospital Care The Office of Prehsopital Care (OPC) provides medical direction and education to EMS agencies in Erie and Wyoming counties.
