Occupational Health provides a full range of health services to the corporate community and local fire companies.

Travel Health prepares and educates individuals planning vacations outside of the United States. We provide a full informational consultation along with any vaccinations required prior to your. We are committed to protecting your health while you travel abroad.

The mission of the Office of Prehospital Care is to ensure that the residents of the Western New York community receive the highest quality out-of-hospital care available through medical oversight, provider education and training, information dissemination and continuous quality improvement activities.

Telehealth & Healthcare Informatics

The mission of the Division of Telehealth and Healthcare Informatics is to provide outstanding products and services in telehealth including clinical telehealth services, distance learning and healthcare informatics. Our intent is to lead and provide strategic direction for telehealth in the region, state and the nation.

Education

UEMS is dedicated to providing the highest quality education to our residents and medical students. Working in five different emergency department settings exposes our residents and students to an extremely wide variety of cases preparing them to care for patients in any setting. Unique programs in emergency ultrasonography and emergency telemedicine give our graduates an added edge over graduates from other programs.

Research

Research is our passion. We have completed studies in domestic violence, wound care, traffic injury prevention, telemedicine, simulation, intubation and steroid use, to mention a few. Each year our attending physicians and residents complete unique innovative research projects that are presented at the annual Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) conference and submitted to industry journals. We have also published books on emergency ultrasonography and educational DVD's on airway management.
